Oleksandr Shchetynskyi has been fulfilling his life mission - to write new, unique, lively music - since childhood and every day, until today.
The avant-garde and postmodernist Shchetynskyi was born and educated in his beloved city of Kharkiv and later continued his studies in Krakow, at the computer music courses.
Operas, symphonic works, concerts, chamber and solo pieces - all genres and performing groups are within the power of this composer. Moreover, he is well versed not only in practice but also in theory, teaching the basics of composition and related disciplines to his students.
Oleksandr Shchetynskyi also worked in the cinema music sphere. His initials are listed in the credits of up to 3 Ukrainian movies: Las Meninas (2008), Delirium (2012), and Merry-Go-Round (2017).
